What’s your advice for a new entrepreneur?

Stay resilient and adaptable to make a meaningful impact. Every setback is an opportunity to learn and grow. Surround yourself with a supportive network, never stop learning, and stay true to your mission and values.

If you could change one thing for future women entrepreneurs, what would it be?

I would level the playing field and eradicate the systemic barriers that disproportionately affect women, especially women of color. Addressing the lack of capital, mentorship, and opportunities for women is crucial for fostering diversity and inclusion in entrepreneurship.

What’s a pivotal moment that shaped the trajectory of your company?

Securing our first round of funding and our first six-figure contract within months of each other gave us the credibility, platform, and resources we needed to scale. I went from zero employees to actually being able to hire myself and others after nearly two years of bootstrapping.

What leadership quality do you think is essential for success in the business world?

Empathy is an essential leadership quality. Empathy allows you to connect with your team, understand your customers’ needs deeply, and make decisions that prioritize people over profits. It fosters a culture of trust, collaboration, and innovation that ultimately drives long-term success and sustainability.

What is something valuable you’ve learned on your journey to give back?

As entrepreneurs, we have a responsibility to give back and empower our communities. Whether it’s through mentorship, philanthropy, or advocacy, giving back is fulfilling but also integral to creating a more equitable and inclusive society.
